12 Ways to Plug Into National Cyber Security Awareness Month this October–in St. Louis and Beyond

There’s no doubt that St. Louis’ cyber security scene is heating up. This Saturday kicks off National Cyber Security Awareness Month, with a series of events likely to create more buzz around all that’s happening in our local cyber community.

Celebrated every October, NCSAM was originally created in 2003 and is a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure every American has the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online. This year, the campaign continues a six-year focus called: “STOP. THINK. CONNECT.” with theme weeks dedicated to creating a culture of cyber security in the workplace, recognizing and combatting cyber crime and more.

The Midwest Cyber Center of Excellence has put together a calendar of events throughout October. Here are a few that are planned so far. See an event missing? Send us a note and we’ll add it to the list.
