RISE Collaborative Workspace
The Idea:Β The core mission of RISE Collaborative Workspace is to β€œprovide a professional workspace for women of all ages to come together to build community, connections, and confidence.” In addition, RISE partners with Girls Dreaming Big to offer tutoring, mentoring and life coaching services for high school girls in the St. Louis area.

β€œOnly a week into our 30-day crowdfunding campaign, RISE Collaborative Workspace is off to an amazing start. With 51 contributors we have already raised just under $10,000, which is 40% of our $25,000 goal,” says founder, Stacy Taubman.

The first of its kind in St. Louis, RISE creates opportunities in a unique environment for women to come together to work, connect and mentor. The coworking space allows women to conduct business in a professional setting. And the high school girls who participate in the programs find a home away from home where, while working on their homework, they build relationships with mentors and get a glimpse into the amazing possibilities of their future.

The Campaign Goal:Β $25,000

The Deadline:Β All funds raised by Nov 21, 2015 will be donated to the campaign.

Wing by Sparo Labs
The Idea:Β For diabetes, there’s the glucose monitor. For asthma, there’s Wing. A pocket-sized sensor and powerful companion app, Wing helps asthma sufferers proactively manage their asthma by tracking lung function and data over time. Information like medication and environmental triggers can then be shared with physicians to create a better treatment plan.

Wing’s goal is to β€œempower individuals with asthma and other respiratory conditions to better understand and proactively manage their condition.” Throughout the process of creating Wing, Sparo Labs has gathered information in a grassroots effort from people who suffer with asthma and other respiratory conditions. This campaign provides an opportunity for people with asthma to contribute to Wing’s development and be the first to have access to Wing as soon as it is available.

The Campaign Goal:Β $50,000

The Deadline:Β All funds raised by Nov 21, 2015 will be donated to the campaign.

Saint LOUau
The Idea:Β When St. Louis natives are asked where they want to go on vacation, the most popular answer is the beach.Β 96.3’s morning show host Curt Copeland and his girlfriend Dana Kay Goddard are giving the people what they wantβ€”a St. Louis-themed Tiki Bar β€œWhere Summer Never Ends.” It’s a place for locals and tourists alike to kick back, enjoy themselves and celebrate all of their favorite things about St. Louisβ€”like the Cardinals, toasted ravioli and gooey butter cakeβ€”with an island twist.

Currently in design and development with help from folks like Space STL, Redline Productions and STL Style House, the hope is to open the world’s first baseball-themed Tiki bar just in time for the opening of the season in April. Their Kickstarter campaign will help fund the securing of a lease at their dream location (TBA), design and renovations, licensing and permits, initial inventory and various opening costs.

The Campaign Goal: $50,000

The Deadline:Β This project will only be funded if at leastΒ $50,000Β is pledged byΒ Wed, Nov 11, 2015 at 9:00 PM CST.
