Hey Black Owned & Women Led Startups in Saint Louis, Google Startups is Accepting Applications
Google's two startup accelerator programs for underrepresented founders are now accepting applications until July 25th. Last year, two startups from Missouri each raised $100K in grant funding from Google Startups.
This is a very quick post to alert our readers working in Black-Owned or Women-Led startups in St. Louis that Google Startups has just opened applications for their 4th year of their two online startup accelerator programs that are specifically seeking applications from Black Founders and Women Founders. If you know any founders who might fit the criteria, please share this article with them – it could be worth $100K!
The 10-week online program encourages applicants companies who have a strong tech focus (think A.I. and Machine Learning). Nonetheless, Google regularly comes out with new programs for other types of companies, so if you can afford to put the time aside to apply, I would encourage you to go for it merely for the benefit of getting early-invites to future initiatives.
Expect competition to be tight as each cohort is only 10-15 companies.
You can take a look at previously funded companies here. St. Louis Startups, Provider Pool and PlaBook stand among their ranks, with each raising a $100k grant from Google for Startups in 2022.
For inspiration to apply, check out the video below. Deadline is July 25th.
Heads up, after filling out a very detailed written section, you’ll still need a pitch video and high resolution photos of the founders in order to successfully complete the application form. Best of luck!
