Hyde Launches Kickstarter, WUHack Applications Opening Soon

Hyde has launched the Kickstarter campaign for their flagship product, The Wingman

Hyde, which was featured in ALIVE’s April issue, has just launched the Kickstarter campaign for their flagship product, The Wingman, an inflatable life jacket. Hyde, a sporting equipment manufacturing startup based in Milwaukee, was part of Arch Grants’ 2014 portfolio.

As of press time, the Kickstarter campaign has raised $13,701 of its $60,000 goal, with 39 days left to continue raising funds. For more information, check out Hyde’s Kickstarter.

The second annual WashU hackathon, WUHack, will take place on Sept. 18-20. The free event is open to students of any background from anywhere in the region. Teams of two to five students will band together to build website and apps, all in the effort to win cash and company-sponsored prizes awarded by a panel of judges.

St. Louis Business Journal reports that venture capital firm Arsenal Capital Management was the lead investor for a $10 million Series B funding round for medical startup Harbor MedTech.

The California-based startup currently develops tissue regeneration products such As NeuvoCell, which provides wound therapy for chronic wounds. Peter Reinecke, who leads the firm, will now join the startup’s board of directors.
