Jeffrey Boyd grew up in Hamilton Heights in North St Louis, a neighborhood he now serves as Alderman of the 22nd ward. Back in the 70s, he recalls a community full of people and investment. His mission today is to bring that memory back to reality.

Jeffrey joined STL Community Cast to share his perspective on the decline of North City neighborhoods and solutions to turn them around.

His dedication to the community he serves is impressive. I believe his optimism is genuine, and I imagine at times it’s hard to maintain.

Will other city leaders dedicate the time and focus to redeveloping this neighborhood and others on the north side? I would hope at this point, an “all options are on the table” perspective is shared. Listen to the full interview below:
