Announcing STL Community Cast Partnership On EQ

Drew Davis created a hyper local podcast to highlight the awesome work happening in St. Louis.

I’m pleased to welcome Andrew Davis as a new author on EQ. He’s the producer of STL Community Cast, a regular podcast that features thought leaders in St Louis and provides a platform to share and promote their projects.

I first met Drew a couple of months ago after he approached me for an interview regarding my new role at EQ. We had a really good chat and it became obvious that his podcast (subscribe on iTunes) is a true passion project that he is really committed to.

Speaking with him, he said, “I created this to highlight some of the awesome work happening in our city. In my short time working on this I’ve met some very cool, creative people who are using their talents to better St Louis.”

I really felt our missions aligned as we both wanted to tell the human side of the story of innovation in St. Louis. Since then we’ve gone back and forth on developing a new podcast together for EQ.

However, in collaborating together over the past few months, it became obvious to me that there is no need to re-invent the wheel and EQ’s role in the St. Louis startup community is to offer a platform to other creators to showcase their own work.

In that sense, Drew’s mission to “provide a platform for thought leaders” became our own. So, it is with great pleasure (and a continued reverence for ‘serendipitous collisions‘) that EQ welcomes and introduces STL Community Cast to our readers.

Every weekend as you’re doing household chores, making a road trip or hitting the gym, we’ll be curating STL Community Cast interviews to give you access to the voices and brains dedicated to making St. Louis a great place to live, work and play.
